Building a responsible future together.
At Le Duc, sustainability is an integral part of our business strategy and approach. That is why we are committed to making our products and processes increasingly eco-friendly, transparent, and responsible every day. From the use of natural ingredients to energy-efficient production, sustainability is embedded in our thinking and actions.
Our sustainability approach is based on six strategic themes: energy, packaging, raw materials, waste & water, food safety and being a good employer. Each area has measurable targets. For instance, we aim to reduce CO₂ emissions by 42% in 2030, we want to be fully CO₂-neutral in 2050 and we are switching to palm oil-free frying oil. We also consciously choose recyclable materials and FSC-certified packaging. In terms of raw materials, we work as much as possible with sustainable, traceable ingredients. In addition, we are Smeta-certified, underlining our commitment to responsible and ethical business practices. Our ambitions are tangible: we reuse residual heat from our compressors, switched to LED lighting and use CO₂-controlled climate systems. By combining small technical improvements with smart choices in production, we are making noticeable progress. Our packaging has also been adapted: thinner films, less material and fully FSC-certified cardboard.
In 2026, we published our new sustainability report covering the period 2024–2025. In it, we outline where we stand in terms of sustainability, the steps we have taken recently, and where we still see opportunities for further improvement. We assess our impact and transparently share our progress, results and ambitions. For Le Duc, sustainability is not an end in itself, but an ongoing process in which we continue to measure, learn and improve. Together with our customers, suppliers, partners and colleagues, we are working towards making conscious choices and implementing concrete improvements. In this way, we are building a more sustainable future, step by step.
